What this site does

Fieldknives is an editorial operation, not a store. Every guide is built from years of reading maker forums, specialty retail catalogs, owner communities, and independent review archives, plus a decade spent following this category closely. We weigh steel grades, blade geometry, sheath construction, and what owners still say about a knife six months in. Our job is to help you spend your money well, whether that's a first Mora or a Chris Reeve Sebenza. Where we're still learning, we say so and point you to people who know more.

How we evaluate
